    Our new IT Centre

    • A key part of our business strategy is driving forward digital banking. We know that our customers want better online banking, so, we’re really excited about the new IT centre we’re setting up in Edinburgh. Part of a £120m investment programme, we’re creating 100 technology jobs made up of IT specialists, data engineers and analysts. Based in our office in George Street in the centre of Edinburgh, the new centre will open in April and will help customers save and budget, as well as being able to look at their balances and transfer money.
    • We’ve also announced a partnership with computing giant IBM, to run our key banking platforms, including ATMs, digital banking and high street branch systems.

    Diversity & Inclusion

    • We recognise that it’s our people who are essential to creating a bank with a difference and a bank that offers a genuine alternative in the UK banking sector. This means creating a working environment where everyone can feel part of a team; able to be themselves and be treated with respect.
    • Gender diversity is critical to the success of our business, that’s why we signed up to the Women in Finance Charter and we’re investing in initiatives such as our Aspiring Women network, Women Returners’ Programme and Investing in Women Code. But importantly it is not the whole story. We’re committed to diversity in the broadest sense and have a commitment to make sure everyone in our business feels included – it’s an important part of our culture.
    • The TSB Inclusion Network is a diversity network focused on helping all our Partners fulfil their potential regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation or anything else that makes them different. We aim to achieve this by creating an environment where they can access the help and tools they need.
    • We have inclusion affinity groups for Gender, LGBTQ+, BAME and Disability, all led by a group of Partners from across TSB, from different parts of the business, with a variety of experiences and jobs, and with all sorts of backgrounds and personal situations. Every group is sponsored and supported by members of our Executive Committee and senior leadership team, because one thing we all have in common is a commitment to raising the awareness and impact of Inclusion across our business.
    • And last year we loved throwing our support behind events such as Pride and Purple Light Up for Disability as well as signing up to the Valuable 500 where we made a commitment to having disability on our Board agenda. And we can’t resist mentioning how proud we are about being shortlisted for the British Diversity Awards, Network Group of the Year Award 2020.

    What a summer we had in 2019 celebrating the beautiful diversity of TSB Partners. We said loud and proud: love is love, no matter who you are. We took to the streets of Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Cymru and Manchester to join the millions of people marching, smiling and dancing and here’s why.
